Peach out of action.......

I think its safe to say, 

the peach is well and truly out of action.....and has been all YEAR! I'm still getting plenty of visitors everyday so just wanted to post a quick line or two to tell you that Skinni Peach is no more, for now. Not for good, just for now! An extremely busy work schedule and if I'm honest, a lack of interest in blogging is to blame. For a while I was completely obsessed with blogging and writing about the latest beauty bits and bobs, but that obsession has fallen by the wayside unfortunately. Now I swoon about my latest finds in a monthly column in a newspaper and I'm writing about beauty everyday in my new job in Beauty PR. So needless to say, by the end of the day, I'm all beautied out!

So for now the Peach is quiet. But you never know when the need to blog may find me again, and when it does, Skinnipeach.com will be waiting.

Make-up bits that shocked the Peach.....

Don't you just love it when you buy a product not expecting much from it and BAM!, it knocks you for six with its fab-ness?

Well that's just what happened to me with the following bits of make up goodness. Some were sent to me for review. Some I purchased. All have impressed me big time and have won the coveted title of, 'savage bit o' stuff' in my make up stash.

Better late than never right?

To any of you peach lovers that clicked on this here blog everyday to see had I surfaced from the blog grave I've been resting in for the last 7 MONTHS (my god that flew), thanks for clicking.........and I'm back!

Where the hell did you go? Well, I moved to Dublin and started a new job and just completely lost the run of myself. And if I'm honest...I enjoyed the break from blogging. Blogging can be a tough hobby to keep up and in the evenings, no matter how much I love to ramble on about beauty, the last thing I wanted to do was sit in front of a computer screen and type about the latest tub of stuff on my shelf that was filling me with glee. I really have to hand it to those hardcore Irish beauty bloggers out there who have brand-spanking-new content up every time I click on their blogs - I'm looking at you Fluff & Fripperies, Viva Adonis, Beaut.ie and loads more. Fair play!

To you lovely Skinni Peach fans who emailed me wondering was everything OK, was I alive and if I was alive when exactly was I going to jump back on the blogging bandwagon again......how CUTE are you guys?! Thanks.

In the time I've been away I've been having a love affair with some fantastic new products which I cant wait to share with ya'll. Through my new job I've learnt a whole new side to beauty too - a side that's completely different, an eye opener and now I'm more obsessed now than ever!

My knowledge of the beauty world is greater now than when I first started the blog and I must admit, I found myself looking back over previous posts and cringing! I actually nearly started a new blog all over again. But then I thought about it - Skinni Peach has opened so many doors for me. I owe it to this little peachy space on the web to keep posting for a while yet and instead of trashing what I've done, I'll just build on it. 

So here's to jumping back on the blogging bandwagon!

Peach seeks the perfect space for rent!

Its been a while folks. Its been a month and a bit actually. Between moving to Dublin and starting a brand new job, things have been a bit all over the gaff in this Peach's life. I'm still rooting stuff from boxes, still half un-packed (she says red faced), still finding my feet. It's just been a mad rush! I'm also in the process of moving out from where I am at the mo (away from the loving and super caring arms of my Mr. Lover Man's sister...what a doll!) and moving into another apartment - oh the thoughts of it!! So needless to say, the Skinni on all things Peachy has suffered big time, but I'm going to get back on track, ya'll just wait and see! 

Moving to another county seemed like feck all bother but jaysis, I haven't had a chance to get myself sorted properly yet. For now I'm just dreaming about the perfect space to store all my bits, my shoes, my make-up, my magazines, my beauty trial stash, my dresses and did I mention my shoes? Any of the below would do just fine. I'm not fussy like!

My skincare favourites at the moment....there's a GANG of them!

Skincare gets me excited. Make-up does too, but not as much. I'm a firm believer that make-up can only do so much and its the canvas underneath all the make-up that needs to be worked on. If the canvas is looking good, your make-up will look even better. If you're a regular reader of the Peach, you'll know that I'm having a love affair with natural skincare lines. I have a little, no actually scrap that, I have a HUGE wicker basket full of skincare treats. In the above pic you can see my favourites at the moment. They all hang out in the wicker basket in their gangs, waiting to be slathered over my skin so they can do their bit, moisturising, rejuvenating and boosting. Yep, looks like I may have a problem folks. No girl needs all this stuff, this I KNOW, but I wanted to try every single one of them! So I bought them and I must say, these are some mighty skincare picks ladies!
